ROBO Call: Public Announcement about Positive Test
Good Evening this is Gary Haverfield, Superintendent at Beaverhead County High School with an important announcement regarding students confirmed positive COVID-19 test.
On November 12, 2020, Beaverhead County High School was notified that two high school students have tested positive for COVID-19. The positive test was confirmed on November 12, 2020. According to the Beaverhead County Public Health Department, the District’s staff and students were in contact with the affected students during the period of possible exposure.
Beaverhead County High School and Beaverhead County Public Health are in regular contact to ensure that the high school is taking all precautions to reduce the chance of COVID-19 spread in the school. Please be assured that the safety of your child is our top priority.
We are working with Public Health to work through the case tracing of close contacts and other possible protocols to establish at the school as a result of this incident. If any staff or students are at risk of exposure, Public Health will be in contact with that person to determine a safe and appropriate course of action.
It is still recommended that any person who feels sick or ill, seek out their medical provider for specific instructions. The School District is in contact with the Health Department and reviewing the Centers for Disease Control guidance to complete cleaning the school and other related facilities.
The other steps taken by the School District include quarantining students who are considered possible close contacts.
School officials will continue to monitor the situation and will provide further information if and when it becomes available.
