Joint Press Release

This is Dillon Police Department Chief of Police Jeremy Alverez and Megan Conrow the Superintendent at Beaverhead County High School. Below is a statement that we have jointly prepared in response to a bomb threat at Beaverhead County High School.

Tonight, the Dillon Police Department responded at the request of Beaverhead County High School officials to Beaverhead County High School at approximately 5:15 PM to investigate a bomb threat.

Assistant Chief of Police Stewart, Officer Ternes, Officer Arthur, Officer Plotner, Beaverhead County Sheriff’s Department and a Montana Highway Patrol Trooper responded immediately, conducted a thorough investigation and concluded that the bomb threat was not credible. Law enforcement has collectively determined that there is no threat to student, staff or the community. The school has been canvassed and cleared at this time.

Dillon Police and BCHS take these allegations seriously, and have concluded it is safe for the community to enjoy the championship game this weekend. School will resume as normal on Monday.  If you have any questions, please call the high school office.  Have a great evening.
