Hello this is John English, Assistant Principal and Activities Director at Beaverhead County High School with important information for our graduating seniors.

Graduation day is rapidly approaching. This message contains information to prepare seniors and their families for next week’s events. Please keep in mind that social distancing requirements apply to all the events listed. Requirements include masks at all times and six feet of separation between non-household individuals and groups.

Check out and graduation rehearsal take place Thursday May 21st.  Students should have received an email with information regarding senior checkout day, which includes a list of student names and their designated checkout times.

Graduation rehearsal will take place following checkout day starting at 2:30 on the football practice field. Please check your email to find your place in the lines and your location in the grandstands. When you arrive at the field you will be given a mask and be directed to your starting point for graduation day. PLEASE KEEP 6 FEET BETWEEN YOU AND OTHER INDIVIDUALS THROUGHOUT THE REHEARSAL. For your planning we should be finished before 3:30.

Also on Thursday at rehearsal, students will be given a map of the football field where families will be seated for graduation. Graduates are allowed up to 5 guests. Families are encouraged to bring camping chairs on Sunday but there will be a limited number of folding chairs available if needed. Remember, if you have out of state guests they must be quarantined here for 14 days prior to attending any public events.

Weather permitting, after graduation a parade will take place with students loading onto flatbed trailers on Center St behind the grandstands. The parade will follow the Labor Day route starting on Glendale and Atlantic and ending at the BW Lodge gymnasium. Parade watchers will be required to maintain social distances between household groups.
