Good evening, this is Gary Haverfield, Superintendent at BCHS. I am sending you this ROBO call regarding the process to be used to sign up for summers Drivers Education.
We are in the process of finalizing the format that will be used for this summer’s Drivers Education Program. We still need to get final approval to run a summers Drivers Education program and are working through all those details with the Public Health and Traffic Education Departments to obtain their approval of our plan.

DRIVERS EDUCATION SIGN-UP
State Approved Quality Program
The Summer Drivers Education classes will run from June 8th until approximately July 15th.
Minimum age limit: 14½ by June 8, 2020. (Born on or before December 8, 2005.)
1). Parent or guardian must bring in a check payable to BCHS in the amount of $225.00 to be placed on the lottery list.
2). Sign up is from May 14th (Thursday) through May 28th (Thursday), 2020 by noon. Parents will need to call on May 29th to find out the selection. Limited to 36 students.
3). Packets need to be picked up in the BCHS main office between June 1st through June 3rd .
4). Mandatory Parent and student meeting only 1 parent and student will be allowed will be held in the Auditorium on Thursday, June 4th at 6:00 P.M. Have all applications, forms and information completed before the mandatory meeting.
5). All components of the Drivers Education program will be following the standards set out by the Public Health Department, the CDC and will be following the social distancing guidelines.
Selection will be based on a lottery. Unsuccessful candidates will have their check returned.
Reminder: We are only taking signups at this time and are awaiting the approval from Public Health and the State Traffic Education departments to finalize and give us the go ahead with our plan. Once that takes place we will get our local school Board to approve the plan as well.
