SENIOR TRIP:  ELKHORN AND BANNACK - Wednesday, MAY 24, 2023 (Get Permission Slips Turned in ASAP)

  • Load in BW Lodge Gym @ 9:00 AM
  • Elkhorn Hot Springs for Swimming then About 11:00 AM to Bannack State Park Pavilion for BBQ and Games
  • Arrive back at school, Green Gym approximately @2:30 PM to get dress for Senior Walk
  • REMEMBER TO TAKE CARE OF SENIOR PERMISSION SLIP!

 

SENIOR WALK—WEDNESDAY, MAY 24, 2023

(DOES EVERYONE HAVE A CAP & GOWN? NO? SEE MR.ENGLISH OR MS. PERISHO)

  • Arrive back at school, Green Gym approximately @2:30 PM to get dress for Senior Walk
  • Put on Cap and Gown
  • Load Busses @ 2:40 PM
  • Arrive @ DMS @ 2:50 PM
  • Walk 2:50 PM – 3:15 PM From Science Wing Door to Primary Building
  • Arrive back at Green Gym @ 3:25 PM

 

GRADUATION PRACTICE— THURSDAY, MAY 25, 2023.

  • Practice will start at 8:30 AM!!!
  • We will go through all aspects of the graduation ceremony.

 

CHECKOUT—THURSDAY, MAY 25, 2023.

  • Check with Miss. Plutt if you have overdue library books, & Mrs. Ferris about fines.
  • Start organizing textbooks and items you have checked out for your classes.
  • Start cleaning lockers (gym and main building).
  • Any fines or equipment and textbooks not paid or checked in will result in your diploma being removed from your diploma cover (you will get a cover with no diploma) the diploma will be given when all fines, equipment, & textbooks are turned into the office. We will give you your diploma when all items are cleared.
  • This will include students who are travelling for state activities. You will receive your diploma when you check out of school the first week of June.

 

BACCALAUREATE—SATURDAY, MAY 27, 2023 @ 7:00 pm

  • Auditorium @ 7:00 PM
  • You should be there by 6:50 PM to line-up.
  • You will walk together and sit together in the senior section for the last time.

 

 GRADUATION—SUNDAY, MAY 28, 2023 @ 2:00 pm

  • You need to be at the BW Lodge by 1:00    
  • Group picture is @ 1:10 sharp!!!! If you are not there you will not be in the picture.

 IMPORTANT NOTES FOR GRADUATION:

  • Make sure all of your schoolwork, assignments and classroom responsibilities have been taken care of prior to Thursday, May 25, 2023!!  DON’T LEAVE IT UNTIL THE LAST SECOND!
  • Tassels hang on the right side of your cap and will be switched over to the left by Mr. Haverfield.
  • Honor cords go on the left shoulder. Miss. Plutt will give them to you when you check-out on Thursday.
  • Names should be written on the inside of your cap to assure retrieval after throwing them. Tassels should be removed before throwing the cap.
  • You are not allowed to alter your graduation gown in any way!
  • All graduation caps will be checked for appropriateness.
  • The use of drugs and/or alcohol will get you removed from the ceremony.
  • Inappropriate dress can get you removed from the ceremony.
  • If you leave something behind in the Gym check with Mr. English on Tuesday.
  • You must wear clothes under your gown!

 

GRADUATION LINE UP—WE WILL GO OVER ALL OF THIS AT GRADUATION PRACTICE.

  • Find your name on the seating chart – posted by locker room doors.
  • Rows 1, 3, 5, and 7 will assemble in the west locker room (boy’s locker room).
  • Rows 2, 4, and 6, will assemble in the east locker room. You will line-up in reverse alphabetical order on girl’s locker room side. 
  • After marching into the gym you will remain standing for the pledge/star spangle banner. Men will remove caps.
  • During the presentation of diplomas your row stands and turns east when the name of the person in isle 4 in the row in front of you is called. (Explained at Graduation practice.)
  • You shake with your right hand and receive your diploma with your left. Your left hand goes over the right.
  • If you get cards and presents at the ceremony you need to make arrangements to give it to family or friends before the ceremony starts so that you don’t have to carry it out with you while you march. 

 

REMEMBER

  • I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE TO TELL YOU ON THURSDAY AT GRADUATION PRACTICE OR CALL YOU AT HOME TO INFORM YOU THAT YOU DID NOT MEET THE GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS!!
  • GRADUATION IS NOT JUST ABOUT YOU!!  IT IS ABOUT YOU, YOUR CLASSMATES, AND YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS.  YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO RUIN IT FOR THEM!!!
  • REMEMBER TASSELS HANG ON THE RIGHT OF YOUR CAP.
  • HONOR CORDS GO ON LEFT SHOULDER.  (USE SAFETY PIN)
  • SHAKE WITH THE RIGHT RECEIVE DIPLOMA WITH LEFT HAND (LEFT GOES OVER RIGHT)

FINAL TRANSCRIPTS

  • FILL OUT THE TRANSCRIPT REQUEST AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE THE NAME OF THE INSTITUTION YOU ARE ATTENDING AND THE ADDRESS ON THE TRANSCIPT REQUEST CLEARLY WRITTEN. IF YOU ARE NOT 18 YOU MUST GET YOUR PARENTS SIGNATURE.  IF YOU ARE 18 YOU HAVE TO SIGN THE TRANSCRIPT REQUEST.
  • TURN YOUR COMPLETED TRANSCIPT REQUEST INTO THE OFFICE ASAP, THERE WILL BE A BOX ON THE COUNTER.
  • IF YOU DON’T HAVE ALL THE RIGHT INFORMATION IT WILL DELAY YOUR TRANSCIPT BEING SENT.  ASK MS. PERISHO IF YOU ARE UNSURE OR SOMETHING IS UNCLEAR.
