I would like to welcome you to Beaverhead County High School for the 2020-2021 school year. The entire staff at BCHS is committed to excellence and the education of our students. We will work hard to ensure that our students graduate from high school and that they are Career and College ready, as well as provide them with many enjoyable and stimulating learning opportunities throughout the year.
In the coming year we will once again be dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. We have developed a comprehensive COVID-19 plan and will diligently with the County Public Health Department, the OPI, and the Governor’s Office that provides classroom instruction that promotes student engagement opportunities.
Our staff and students are proud of the fact that Beaverhead County High School has once again been selected to receive the MBI "Exemplar School" award this year and achieving "Platinum Status". Beaverhead County High is the first high school in the state of Montana to achieve “Platinum Status", which is a reflection of the positive and respectful atmosphere we have worked hard to create and maintain. In addition, BCHS has achieved regular accreditation status by the Montana Office of Public Instruction as well as being approved for a much more stringent accreditation process from the AdvancED organization which was formerly the Northwest Regional Accreditation organization.
I highly encourage you to get to know our teachers, advisors and coaches. You will find them friendly, helpful and willing to answer any questions about the programs and activities at BCHS. Also, feel free to call or stop by the office and visit with Mr. English (Assistant Principal) or myself with any questions or concerns you might have.
I look forward to hearing from you and wish you and our students the very best in the coming school year.
