TO: Graduating seniors - Dillon, Lima, Sheridan, Twin Bridges RE: Graduation Memories Tab
Hello and congratulations,
Every year we publish a graduation tab honoring the seniors at each of the four area high schools.
Be- cause of the coronavirus and the Shelter In Place orders and all the things that have really
messed up your senior year, we are planning a super spectacular Graduation Tab. To make this happen
we need your help.
The tab is full color and includes a photo of each of you (we’ve got most of the photos). One of
the things I need you to do to make this a success is to write up to 50 words for a small piece to
be included next to your picture. The topic is up to you. You can write about:
• your high school accomplishments (i.e., class president, team captain, Boys/Girls State, All
State band or athletics, FFA president, or the many other possibilities).
• your favorite classes and/or teachers, or what you liked about the HS experience (friends, .
• your goals for the future, where you want to go to college and what you want to do after that.
• or be creative with the topic and come up with a personal slant.
It would be great to have the submissions by Monday, May 11 (as soon as possible. Our deadline is
May 14. You can send the information to editor@dillontribune.com. To make it easier at my end,
please type your name and school in the subject line.
I would advise running the piece by someone before sending it in – a parent, sibling, friend,
teacher – someone that you can ask, “does this sound okay?” Rest assured, we will correct spelling
or grammati- cal errors.
I ask, HELP US MAKE THIS SPECIAL. WRITE THE SHORT PIECE AND SEND IT IN. THE SOONER THE BETTER, BUT
NO LATER THAN MAY 14.
