Good evening, this is Gary Haverfield, Superintendent at BCHS. I am sending you this ROBO call to continue the Districts communication with our parents and students regarding the school closure and our plan with moving forward with an offsite educational plan for our students.

1st: We are going to have the school open on Wednesday March 18 & Thursday March 19 at two different times for students to come and grab any of their educational items as they prepare for offsite learning.

Buildings will be open from 8:00 – 10:00 & 1:00 – 3:00, again on March 18 & 19 of this week.

As we prepare for the end of the 3rd quarter, which is March 25th, all work, assignments, make-up work, and missing assignments must be turned in by Wednesday March 25, by 3:30 pm.  We will have the Front doors of the main building open and will have a drop box for work to be placed into.

Please make sure the work is clearly marked with the student’s name, name of the class and their teacher’s name.

Any student that is failing a course during the 3rd quarter will need to contact their teacher and get all work completed and turned in by Wednesday March 25th.  Please email your respective teacher, should you have questions regarding this work, missing assignments, etc.

2nd Our staff are working hard to prepare for an alternate delivery method during the school closure. This could mean anything from 100% online to 100% paper and pencil methods.  Once their individual plans have been completed, we will be in contact with you regarding those plans.  Our goal is to send out another ROBO call on Tuesday or Wednesday March 24 or 25 with the complete details of this plan.

All future ROBO calls, including this one will be posted on our DB app and the school website.    The website is bchsmt.com  This is also the site to access your teachers lesson plans and other educational materials.

On our website the ROBO calls will all be posted under the Live feed and/or the New Feed links.

In addition, if your child does not have internet access at home or a device to access the internet, please contact the school, so we can work with you to have some form of access, if needed.

It is also imperative that both the student and parents have their Powerschool ID number and Password available and ready for use.  If you do not have those numbers, please call the school to get those numbers. This is critical to accessing student’s grades and assignments posted by their teachers.

As more information becomes available about the school closure due to the COVID-19 Virus, we will be contacting you to continue to update you on the latest developments.  We want to thank you for your patience and understanding as we all work through this process. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the office at 683-2361.

Thank you and Have a Great Evening!!
